I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2017 with a double degree, a BA in Psychology and a BFA in Studio Art with an Emphasis in Graphic Design.
I've worked at the Tesseract Center for Immersive Environments and Game Design since January of 2015, moving from a Junior Intern up to the Art Director for the studio. During that time I have done production work in most disciplines of video game art, including both environment and character work. I've also worked extensively on designing, creating, and implementing UI and UX schemes. I also have extensive experience leading art teams and project managing.
The work I'm most passionate about is developing artistic visions for games that work in harmony with the overall design, as well as bringing 3D characters and environments to life.
Working with the creative director to define visual aesthetics, helping to lead the art team. Visually designing and setting up the lighting scenarios in-engine. Creating game-ready 3D character models based on concept art.
Setting the art direction for projects, creating proposals and project timelines, managing the art team. Project managing a portion of the projects and communicating with clients. Ensuring that art for projects meets expectations and deadlines. Teaching game art fundamentals, art direction, and UI/UX in college-level courses.
Creating game-ready 3D character models based on concept art. Sculpting, UVing, and rigging and weighting through Character Creator 3.
Sculpting and texturing characters, designing and creating the assets for UI/UX schemes, various environment asset creation and implementation, and graphic design work. Management of junior art interns.
Sculpting and texturing assets for use on 3D characters. Generating characters via Mixmo using custom assets and handing them off for implementation in-engine. Assisted in environment set-up in the engine. Designing and creating UI assets.
